Gate Valve Stem Seal Support
The Mac-Seal is a static seal which displaces cavity fluids and encapsulates solid items as it is injected into damaged sealing areas. The Mac-Seal is an effective barrier at the stemback seat or the stem packing with the valve open or closed.Note: The seal is only effective as a temporary safety seal barrier with the valve in the open or closed position.
Typical Gate Valve Packing & Back Seat Retrieved
- Stem packing severely damaged.
- Valve in back set position.
- Injection of Mac-Seal through bonnet fitting.
- Two hour setting time.
- Pressure test of 5,000psi (charted).
- Packing removed for inspection.
