Housing Breakout Tool

The HBT has been designed to provide a safe and effective process in supporting the removal of actuator housings / pipe established and retained with a threaded connection.

These threaded connections have been contaminated by rust etc, which prevents normal access during disassembly.

The HBT is designed to operate in limited areas and maintains the loading requirements without deforming the housing / pipe.
 
The HBT is deigned as a two part clamp assembly with a support arm. The support arm has designed to allow some interface with various clamp assemblies. Note: Please contact KCI for confirmation.
   
There are six dog segments which are supported with a rubber material which will adjust the load around the OD of the housing / pipe. The clamp and support arm assembly provide rotational load of up to 3 Tonnes.
   
The Clamp and Support arm assembly is loaded from a hydraulic / mechanical device attached to a secure retaining structure in a direct line during the load application.
