Overview
BackgroundInstallation of well barriers i.e. deep set and or tubing hanger plugs.
The tree choke failed to hold pressure with no other barriers up stream which prevents the installation and testing of well intervention equipment i.e. wire line or polished rod lubricator.
Deployment
Deposit a set volume of IBS through the wing valve and inject a set volume of light oil into the tree between the closed UMV and closed SWAB displacing the IBS at the choke. Allow the IBS to convert to a solid flexible material which will support pressure testing from both directions.
Removal
Inject a set volume of breaker which will return the solid IBS back to a fluid to be flushed through the system or open both valves and pig the solid material out of the tree.
