In the field: subsea leak sealants
KCI was recently approached by a tier 1 contractor struggling to restore functionality to a failed tree release system. Several seals had perished, complicating efforts to abandon the well, and the contractor needed a cost-effective solution that could be deployed to provide a temporary isolation of the seal structures and allow full travel of the unlock mechanism.
We deployed a defined volume of a bespoke product engineered for compatibility with the well tree system; restoring seal functionality and allowing full travel of the tree unlock system, significantly aiding the abandonment process.
